Your blog says "..., and now we are a Fortune 1000 company..." - it should be ...Fortune 100..

Congrats on your #1 ranking...I agree...it's not a destination...but an achievement that you will have to continue to work at to maintain!

Hey Dave,

Congrats on making it to #1. I just got my copy of your book and started a blog to track my progress through the book. Great so far. Thanks.

This makes perfect sense; Only company I know of where the executives are engaged to the level of interacting with customers, adversaries and partners on third party mailing lists.

Not only engaged, but when he has a bad hair day and says something a little tone deaf, he apologizes for it.

And no, it's not a sign of attaining perfection, but a good indicator that the sum is greater than it's parts.

A very interesting phenomenon for something that isn't spun out as $whatever 2.0 ;-)

Dave,

What an honor to be listed as Fortune's #1 "Best Company to Work For." I think it says a lot about the investment you make in your people and the leadership you have there at NetApp. Out of curiosity have you ever read the book by Larry Bossidy and Ram Charan titled "Execution: The discipline of getting things done?" I sounds like a lot of what you do there has ties to the book. I currently work for FranklinCovey and we offer a process based on the book and I would be curious to see how close it is to what you do at NetApp. If you're interested we are having an overview of the process and methodology at the beginning of March and I would be happy to send you an invitation. Once again congratulations on the recognition and all the best!
