Storage 101 – Virtualization Changes Everything

Updated July 12th - Syllabus revised

Welcome all to Storage 101, I’ll be brief below is our syllabus and the topics we will cover leading up to VMworld. The format of these posts will begin with a high level introduction to the technology followed by all of the technical gory details. I am hoping that those who want the ‘why’ can be satisfied up front, and these who want the ‘how’ can continue reading.

Note: I reserve the right to change the order of the agenda and to add to it as I see fit. I'll see you later this week with our first session.

Brian had a great suggestion to revise the syllabus to align with initiatives being presented at VMworld and so here it is. Besides being my manager Brian is also the lead contributor on the Virtualization Effect blog.

Just wondering when the next episodes of this blog thread will be released? It's been a few months since the last two were put out.

Your blog is a great resource for NetApp storage information (we're delving into NetApp for the first time with a FAS2040 for a customer) and the syllabus headings indicate some very interesting technical blogs to read.
